The study is conducted in the southern area of Bangladesh with a view to evaluate the temporal variation in surface water coming from the Bay of Bengal as the area has a major problem of saline water introducing from sea. An assessment of various physico-chemical characteristics of water such as pH, electrical conductivity, TDS, Phosphate, Potassium, Sodium, Sulphate, Calcium, Magnesium, was carried for a period of 9 months (May 2019- January 2020) at 20 locations to know the chemical status related to seasons. Statistical analysis among various physico-chemical parameters in summer, rainy and winter seasons was also carried out to know the quality of water at study area. The results showed that the nutrients content in water bodies found the maximum levels in the winter season compared with three seasons for the reason of nutrient dilution.
